Dr. Perman’s Mission
Dr. Perman is driven by an insatiable desire to help as many people as possible through honest, ethical, and scientific rehabilitative healthcare. He strives to offer people lasting solutions to manage their symptoms with minimal reliance on medication or invasive procedures. He has been studying neuroscience since 2008 and has not stopped. He is always searching for new and effective techniques to help you strengthen your brain. Dr. Perman previously practiced in Beverly Hills, CA where he lived his childhood dream of working with celebrities, professional athletes, and entertainment executives. While a dream come true, Dr. Perman yearned to help a lot more people in as many different locations as possible. This led him to found Virtual Brain Rehab, and ultimately to his position as Clinic Director at Nexus Brain Center, where he hopes to take his expertise in neurological rehabilitation into homes all over California and beyond.
With millions of people suffering, it is Dr. Perman’s life mission to show the world that effective rehabilitative options exist for many chronic, nebulous, and debilitating conditions.
Education and Expertise
Dr. Perman attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience, graduating cum laude with additional honors. While in college he worked as a research assistant in the Neurobiology Department at Harvard Medical School. He heavily considered pursuing his Ph.D in Neurobiology, but realized he preferred to work directly with people rather than spend his time in the lab. His unending interest in neuroscience led him to pursue his expertise in neurological rehabilitation. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) from Life Chiropractic College West where he graduated Salutatorian, summa cum laude. He then completed his post-doctoral board certification in Chiropractic Neurology (DACNB) through the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. The majority of his education in Clinical Neuroscience and Chiropractic Neurology (sometimes referred to as “Functional Neurology”) was obtained through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies.
Dr. Perman’s curiosities related to human neuroanatomy and neurophysiology have led to his love of treating concussions, migraines, and dizziness/vertigo disorders. Almost everyone can improve with the right treatment approach. Dr. Perman wants to help you find that approach, whether it be with him, or with another practitioner that can better suit your needs.
Dr. Perman grew up in Long Island, New York, and has now settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has always loved the performing arts and everything to do with food. In his free time, he enjoys seeing live performances, cooking, and trying new restaurants and cuisines. He also founded and operates an app development company, AR Health Solutions, LLC. His goal is to build affordable apps that help healthcare and fitness professionals be more objective with their assessments. He currently has two projects in development.
