Our Focus

Functional Assessment
and Rehabilitation

We specialize in the functional assessment of concussion, migraine, dizziness/vertigo, stroke, chronic pain, and more, while offering rehabilitative options like vestibular rehabilitation, eye-motion rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, electrical stimulation, cold laser therapy, and nutritional/hormonal interventions.

We pride ourselves on delivering customized, results-driven rehabilitative programs to our patients while educating the next generation of neuro-rehab experts.

Our Mission

Fostering a New
Generation of
Neuro-Rehab Experts

Our patients have the opportunity to work directly with an elite group of preceptor interns who are pursuing a career in Chiropractic Neurology. With direct oversight and guidance from our faculty Board-Certified Chiropractic Neurologist, these preceptor interns receive 3-6 months of full-time experience treating some of the most complex cases prior to their graduation.

This unique experience equips our preceptor interns to incorporate these skills into their practices immediately upon graduation while they fulfill their requirements to sit for their board-certification exam in Chiropractic Neurology. As a patient, you will play a critical role in our intern’s education, while receiving some of the highest-quality rehabilitative care available in the United States!

Our Approach

What is Functional Neurology?

Your brain is able to adapt, learn, and strengthen itself. When the brain learns, it can form new connections to best handle new and different situations. Building these new connections is known as “neuroplasticity”.

Chiropractic Neurologists (sometimes referred to as “Functional Neurologists”) use the concepts of neuroplasticity to help your brain function better. They help determine which areas of your nervous system are dysfunctional and build non-invasive rehabilitation plans to build neuroplasticity, reduce symptoms, and improve overall brain function. Chiropractic Neurologists commonly help people living with post-concussion syndrome/traumatic brain injuries, acute/chronic pain, migraine disorders, dizziness disorders, stroke, neuropathy, ADD/ADHD, chronic fatigue, neurodegenerative conditions, and more. They also commonly work with athletes to help identify their weaknesses and optimize their performance.

Our Initial Assessment

What to Expect
at Your First Visit

Our initial assessment takes about 90 minutes to complete. A typical examination will begin by obtaining a thorough history of your condition. We will then assess many of your brain’s functions. Your doctor may observe things like your balance, coordination, eye movements, vital signs, posture, and range of motion. They may palpate your muscles and joints, test your reflexes, your muscle strength, and your sensation. They may even test your cognitive function. If we believe that we can help you following your examination, we will work to design your tailored rehabilitation plan.

Common therapies include eye-motion therapies, coordination exercises, vestibular therapies, balance training, multitasking activities, electrical stimulation, transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation, cold laser therapy, and cognitive exercises. Physical exercise routines, musculoskeletal care (chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy modalities, acupuncture, massage therapy, etc.), and nutritional/hormonal treatment may also be recommended. Our goal is to build you a well-rounded care plan that gives you the best chance of improvement, without drugs or surgery!
